new birthday, new me!
Another Year Around The Sun…
Another year around the sun, another set of lessons learned. This past year was filled with reflection, growth, and new realizations about love, milestones, money, and self-worth. As I step into my next chapter, I want to share the six biggest lessons I learned at 25—lessons that shaped how I see the world and myself.
Biggest Lessons I Learned At 25
1: Love is energy, love is a choice
2: You might never feel 100% ready for new opportunities
3: Be silly, Life is too serious
4: Sticking to your values as an empath
5: Spending money, is investing in yourself.
6: Your body is your home
#1: Love is a choice
I used to believe love was something given to me by another person, but I’ve come to understand that love is an energy—something we can access at any time. It requires bravery, vulnerability, and an active choice to step into love daily. The love you once shared with someone doesn’t disappear just because they’re no longer in your life; you brought that energy just as much as they did. Love is always within you.

#2: You might never feel 100% ready
Whether it’s a new job, a big move, or an unexpected life change, no one ever feels fully prepared. The opportunities in front of you wouldn’t exist if you weren’t ready for them. Growth happens when you take the leap, even if fear is standing in the way.

#3: Be silly, life is too serious
Lately, it feels like the world is heavier than ever. Political events, economic changes, and responsibilities can make adulthood feel overwhelming. But playfulness is just as essential as ambition. Prioritize joy. Laugh with your friends. Play board games. Have a dance party in your living room. Life is meant to be enjoyed.

#4: Empaths & values
As an empath, I’ve spent a lot of time seeing all sides of a story, which made me question my own values. This past year, I learned that understanding someone’s perspective doesn’t mean you have to adopt it. If I wouldn’t want my future kids to believe in something, I let it go. Holding onto my own beliefs while still holding space for others is a balance I continue to navigate.

#5: Spending money is investing in yourself
I used to feel anxious about spending money, even when I could afford it. But I’ve started shifting my mindset—money isn’t just something to save, it’s something to use intentionally. Investing in my health, experiences, and happiness is just as important as building financial security. We have time to make more money; let’s not let fear stop us from living now.

#6: Your body is your home
We live in a world that constantly tells us we need to “fix” ourselves—buy more skincare, try the latest wellness trend, change our bodies. But the best moments in life aren’t about how we look. They’re about connection, nature, and joy. The real glow-up isn’t a new routine; it’s living fully. Your body is your home—don’t waste your life always maintaining it.
