Welcome to the Podcast!

Well, I finally did it. I’ve been meaning to put out a podcast for a while now— but imposter syndrome and my perfectionism has been telling me I’m not ready or Don’t even bother making a podcast Bianca, you’re not experienced enough to do it. But, after two years of debating, I decided to just go for it.

“I’m a big believer in divine timing, and, I’ve just had so many signs lately to just do it—why not? Just do it!”

I love routine ~1:18

Starting the session with a little recap—I begin introducing myself.

“Ok so a little bit about me, my name is Bianca but a lot of people call me B. I live in Canada, in a small little town in Ontario and I am obsessed with learning. I [also] love nature, so I’m definitely more of a country girl than a city girl.”

Next, I chat about my love for routines—specifically my morning routine, and dive into some of my go-to morning habits. It looks a little bit like this:

  • Mediation (or just a few moments in silence)

  • Journaling (a thought dump but also a couple goals for the day)

  • Reading (ok this isn’t an everyday thing, but sometimes I love to add in a bit of learning right in my mornings. Currently, I’m reading The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Micheal Alan Singer. Check it out on my Amazon Storefront here.

  • Small-town show (I’m sure if you guys have been a round for a while you know my favourite show to watch in the morning is Heartland—but since something well, something tragic happened in Season 15, I haven’t been able to watch it since… I swear it put me in a depressive state for weeks. So, now I’ve been watching Virgin River instead and I’m liking it so far!!

How twentysomethings are being invalidated ~3:33

As a girl who is only 23, I get it. Being in your twenties can be hard sometimes. We have the climate crisis, friendship breakups, the figuring out our finances, the life transitions, the pandemic…and it doesn’t help when we’re told by others in the 30s+ to just Suck it up kid. It only gets worse from here.

Like, thank you??? Doesn’t help.

But anyway, that’s where I come in. We’re going to talk about it. I hope by the end of each episode, you won’t feel invalidated but instead, seen. You won’t feel hopeless and lost, but instead—cleansed and elevated

Being more intentional with social media ~4:30

I’ve been on many platforms. I started with Pinterest, next Instagram, and then Tiktok. But, the reason why I love blogs, and podcasts is because they you can be more intentional. You don’t just scroll for hours and come across a podcast episode. You have to actively find it or, seek out the new episode each week.

(pst. every Monday 6am.. at least for this season).

I think a lot of twentysomethings would benefit from more intentional consumption of content and that was one of the main reasons why I started this podcast. Another reason was when I experienced my first identity crisis…

Why I started the podcast ~6:00

I started talking about my struggles of adjusting to early adulthood after my first life transition: I was switching careers.

While I was going through what I now know as a quarter life crisis… I dove into many personal development books. Now, I thought I was a smart kid and unfortunately for many years, I was perceived as a bit of a “Smart Aleck” for that trait of mine.

But to my surprise—reading about theories, and ideas that I didn’t have much knowledge on (I had a BSc. of Forensic Science) I was immensly humbled in the amount of information I still needed to learn and unlearn

“In some ways, I became this student again... I loved being a student. And although I can’t tell you all the secrets of what it is to thrive in your 20s…

I will hopefully share with you knowledge that I gather along my own journey. The things I learn, but also unlearn.”

The meaning behind the “detox” ~8:15

“I feel not only twentysomethings, but anybody…in their 30s, and 40s, and 50s, and so forth, need to own this natural cycle of learning and unlearning things in order to detox (or discard) things that no longer serve you”

Why is this cycle so important? Because although you can learn something consciously—whether it’s at school, at work, or on your own… you can also learn things unconsciously. In fact, almost all limiting beliefs are formed unconsciously.

Seems scary right? To know you have so much in that brain of yours that pulls you in a certain thought, emotional or behavioural pattern. So much—and you may not even realize it’s there.

At the very least, I hope this podcast will spark some awareness in you to heal and grow.

“At the end of the day, you have to find what works for you. Because a huge part in healing and personal growth is to not just mindlessly adopt people’s morning routines and healing methods without really seeing if it works for you.”

I hope you guys enjoy this podcast. For this season, they will be releasing every Monday at 6am, and I hope to keep them on the shorter end. Perfect for getting ready in your mornings or commuting to work!

If you do enjoy them, please make sure to give it a like! It would mean the world to me. <3 xoxo.

Love,

B
